A NEW BEGINNING
I need a new beginning
A place that I can go,
A way of thinking and acting
I've imagined but don't quite know.
Is there really hope
That I will be different in this new year?
I'll meet my goals and find my dreams
Without the nagging fears?
Maybe when I remember
I am not perfect nor a disgrace
But have the potential to mirror my Lord,
If I look into his face.
I do not know what I could be
But I know where I have been
I'll go where ever the truth will lead
It might become my friend.
